Noktic™ is published by Noktic LLC. Your documents, your attachments, and the records of the matters they belong to remain on your computer. Never in the cloud. No copy on our servers.

Your Work

Your work remains on your machine. We retain no copy and therefore no backup; maintaining your own remains your responsibility.

What We Hold

• Contact details — the information you provide on our forms or when you download the application. We use it to administer your account, to respond to you, and to send occasional notice of new releases and pricing.
• License and billing — the status of your subscription, and a code associating your license with your computer so that it cannot be used on more machines than your plan permits. Card details are held by our payment processor and do not reach us.
• Correspondence — support messages and feedback you send us, together with the account details attached to them.
• Website visits — this site and its host record standard visitor information. Google Analytics sets a cookie for this, and Google may use what it gathers across other sites; Google’s browser add-on turns that off. The site does not respond to Do Not Track signals, as no agreed standard exists.

Who Else Sees It

Outside providers process our payments, host the website, verify licenses, deliver our email, and measure site traffic. Each receives only what its function requires. We do not sell or rent what we hold, and we do not use it for advertising.

We disclose information where the law requires it. Should the company be sold, what we hold transfers with it, and the acquirer remains bound by this policy or gives you notice of its replacement.

How Long We Keep It

For as long as it serves the purpose for which it was collected, and thereafter for as long as tax and legal requirements demand. Information in transit between you and us is encrypted. Should a breach reach your information, we will notify you, and any regulator the law specifies. What resides on your own computer is yours and remains until you delete it.

Your Rights

Write to hello@noktic.com to review, correct, export, or delete what we hold, or to stop email unrelated to your account. We fall below the California Consumer Privacy Act’s thresholds and are not a “business” as it defines the term. We honor these requests regardless, from anyone, wherever they reside, and we do not treat anyone differently for making one. Where the GDPR applies, you may also complain to your supervisory authority. We operate from the United States and your information is processed here.
